Work Experience for SEND Children at Makewell Clinic

Makewell Clinic welcomes work experience enquiries from local students with neurodiversity who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. We are committed to creating meaningful, tailored opportunities that allow each young person to develop skills, confidence, and real-world experience in a supportive clinical environment.

Current Availability

All work experience placements for the 2025/26 academic year are now full. Applications for 2026/27 placements will open in summer 2026. Expressions of interest can be sent to helen@ecgtraining.co.uk and will be held on a waiting list.

Placement Opportunities

• Assisting in the Clinic: Helping to greet patients, prepare treatment rooms, learn how to take blood pressure, and gain hands-on experience in a live healthcare setting
• Supporting the Administration Team: Learning about finance, business skills, administration, and teamwork within the training side of the business
• Caring for Therapy Ponies: Gaining animal care experience by feeding, grooming, and looking after the five therapy ponies based on site

We aim to create an environment where every young person can thrive, building skills and confidence that will support their future career aspirations.
