Yellow Fever Vaccination

Private Yellow Fever Vaccination in Milton Keynes
From£74.00

What is Yellow Fever?

Yellow fever is a serious viral infection spread by infected mosquitoes in parts of sub-Saharan Africa and Central and South America. The disease can cause flu-like symptoms, jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes), organ failure, and can be fatal in severe cases. Vaccination is the single most effective way to prevent infection.

Who Should Be Vaccinated?

The yellow fever vaccine is recommended — and in many cases legally required — for travellers visiting or transiting through affected regions. Countries with high risk include parts of West Africa, Central Africa, and tropical South America. Many countries require proof of vaccination as a condition of entry.

  • Travellers to sub-Saharan Africa and tropical South America
  • Anyone transiting through a country where yellow fever is present
  • Those required to show an official vaccination certificate for entry
  • Aid workers, volunteers, and long-term travellers in endemic regions

Possible Side Effects

The yellow fever vaccine is generally well-tolerated. Common mild reactions include soreness at the injection site, headache, and low-grade fever. Rare but more serious reactions can occur — our clinician will assess your suitability and discuss any concerns before vaccination.
