Timing: Take your sample between 6–10am

Supplements

Avoid vitamins/minerals for 24 hours
Avoid biotin for 48 hours (check with your doctor if prescribed)

Medications

Take thyroid medication after your test where possible
If testing later in the day, leave 6 hours after levothyroxine (12 hours for DTE/T3)
Inform us if taking lithium or amiodarone
