What’s the Difference Between an Allergy and an Intolerance?
Allergies are immune responses that happen quickly – often within minutes – and can cause symptoms like hives, swelling, wheezing, or in some cases, anaphylaxis.
Intolerances are usually slower to show up – symptoms like bloating, headaches, or fatigue may take hours or even days to appear. They are not caused by the immune system in the same way, but can cause distressing and debilitating symptoms.
Our team can help you decide which test is most appropriate based on your symptoms and health history.
