Hi, I’m Nick, and I am one of the Specialist Nurse Practitioners at Makewell. I am a registered General Nurse, and started my career in Acute Medical Admissions and A&E. I am also a qualified Health Visitor and School Nurse, so have experience working with both Adults and Children & Young people.

I spent a number of years working in mental health; mainly in CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental health Services) where I completed my training as an Independent Nurse Prescriber (so I could assess; diagnose; and provide medication for mental health conditions. I also had a small caseload of ADHD patients for medication management).

I have experience working in an Adult Transgender health service as a Specialist Nurse/Prescriber, and before joining Makewell, worked as a Specialist Nurse in ASD/ADHD for a Community Paediatric service in Nottinghamshire. You will see me at Makewell for medication management appointments, and likely in some assessment appointments in the near future.
