My Personal Experience with Autism and ADHD (a guest blog)

10 / Feb

I recently got diagnosed with autism and ADHD and want to talk about how I’ve embraced neurodiversity!

Being SEN has given me a lot of strengths, such as creativity, which really helps with my art. With my unique skills in noticing small details and my enthusiasm, I managed to get a distinction in college for art and design. I’m also very passionate about my writing! My energy and creativity help me express myself, and I love bringing ideas to life through words.

My determination really helped me in college, and my ability to think outside the box allowed me to create a unique piece for my final exam, which I’m very proud of! There are so many ways that noticing small details and thinking differently have benefited me. I’m deeply committed to my writing, highly enthusiastic about art, and passionate about photography. I would say I’m a very creative person, and I hope to be a tattoo artist someday.

I always embrace my creativity—and so can you!
